GLUE CARTRIDGES (Glue patterns)
Glue sticks (also called glue rods or hot melt glue) are cylindrical, hard rods made of thermoplastic polymer.
They are placed at the back of a glue gun.
The glue gun heats the rod, causing the glue to become liquid and allowing it to be applied precisely through the nozzle.
Once the liquid glue cools, it solidifies quickly, creating a strong bond.
Important properties
Diameter: The thickness must fit your glue gun exactly. The most common sizes are 7 mm to 8 mm (for hobby and precision work) and 11 mm to 12 mm (for larger jobs and higher glue volume).
Melting temperature: Standard sticks melt at high temperatures (around 170°C to 200°C). There are also special low-melt sticks (around 120°C to 130°C) for heat-sensitive materials such as polystyrene, balloons, or thin fabrics.
Composition: In addition to the universal transparent version, there are specific patterns for wood or ceramics, and colored or glitter sticks for decorative projects.
